Advanced Metal Extractors produce 4x the metal as a basic Extractor, with a higher energy cost to operate. They can be built on top of existing extractors, and right-clicking a basic extrator or using the Area Mex command will do so automatically.

The 4x metal is based off the average metal produced by an Armada/Cortex extractor, not the reduced metal from a Legion extractor.

Like normal extractors, they are prime targets for your enemies, so defend them at all costs!
