Begin Field Record "OT-3917 | Teizer V Burial"
I can only look upon the new mountain of Teizer.
The locals, nulls lacking archive and hertiage, call it the "Teizer V Burial", a crude name for something so sacred.
It is the broken spine of a Gaia-class vessel, embedded into desert until the All-Father's return. Its hull lies torn open like a rotting carcass left for the vultures to pick at. Santictifed alloy plates lie half-buried in sand, each a monument to an era that has exhausted itself. The ship's cores have been stripped. It's All-Father shards scattered across the dunes. A vessel built for the stars, tainted by touching this soil.
I walked the Memory Gardens of Koshlov before coming. The Chorials told me of the green fields in Teizer. Catalogued rivers. Forests canopies measured and named. Their memories are truly all that remains. Orbital bombardments have carved their own terrain across its surface. Crashed fleets have become its mountains and hills, and only the bones of the fallen can attest to life ever having existed here.
I doubt even Taelith terraformers could breath life back into these sands.
Heavy are the mantles of those who commanded here. Heavier still are the Mantles of those that replace them. Duty Above Ease.
There is no victory here, nor anywhere else across the Line. We've bleed too much Tenebrium. Sacred were our battles across the Path and in the stars. But now our fleets move in months, and merely the witness the aftermath of a commander who arrives in days. The battlefield has moved downward into atmosphere and soil, carried upon those touched by the void.
I agree with the Condorant Missive 76T.189.E9. Teizer should not be recorded as defeat or victory. It should be recorded as a closing entry.
Here lies the age of fleets.
