“A world that forgives weakness teaches nothing.”
- Marshal-Architect Selvar Drune
After the fall of Veziri Prime, Stormvault was elevated as the next seat of House Veltari power. The choice was deliberate. Where Veziri embodied reach and ambition, Stormvault embodies endurance.
Stormvault is a world rendered largely uninhabitable early in its settlement. Persistent orbital bombardment, tectonic instability, and violent plasma storms scour the planet without reprieve. A dense debris field chokes its orbital lanes with falling iron and shrapnel, while charged atmospheric discharges rake the surface in unpredictable waves. Unshielded habitation proved impossible within the first generations of colonization.
In true Armada fashion, Veltari civilization adapted. Vast fortress-cities were carved deep into the ground and reinforced over centuries. Surface structures still persist with shielded domes and reinforced spines, engineered to absorb repeated impacts, seismic shock, and plasma exposure. Scars are maintained rather than erased. Entire regions exist in a permanent state of repair.
Life on Stormvault is defined by the certainty of damage, survival depends on collective discipline. All structures are designed with the assumption that they will be struck, breached, and stressed. What matters is not preventing impact, but ensuring the system still stands afterward.
This origin defines Veltari doctrine. Repair is not secondary to defense. It is defense. Calm response under pressure is valued over aggression. To hold is honorable. To fail a structure is a shared burden. Stormvault taught the Veltari that only what survives is permitted to evolve.
