Detailed info
It is an ironic twist of fate, how Osemo is both the best and the worst candidate for an outpost halfway between Veltari Stormmarch part of the Continuum on one side, and the Covenant Ring on the other. Its placement is just perfect for it to become a major thorn in the side of either Armada or Cortex, should the other side choose to claim it. Not only does it lie in the only bottleneck of relative safety, between numerous clusters of space debris on one side and a ripple field of solar flares on the other but it is, in a way, habitable. One would think it an obvious choice to have a foothold such as this...

Surely, the Covenant would not wish to tether the Chain to this planet in All-Father's Glory, for it to simply wane and perish?

Osemo would resemble Terra to an uncanny degree, if not for one crucial difference, which is the sulphur saturation. With its amounts sitting at triple that to which homo sapiens was used to, this celestial body advertises its volatile nature, not unlike a venomous animal, by enshrouding itself in alarming, sickly yellow hue. A thick, yellowish-brown haze of sulphuric acid aerosols scatters the light, making sunsets a sight to behold, but otherwise obfuscating the sunlight with heavy, stormbringing clouds. Terraforming attempts prove to be fruitless, as mitigating the presence of an element so common to planet's core setup as sulphur could likely require a complete, planet-wide redesign.
Even though conditions on Osemo stand in direct opposition to any prolonged attempts at curbing, they remain well within the parameters set by Karthes, a sub-house of Armadian Veltari Dynasty, specialised in hostile-habitat-resistant settlements and technology. Treating the all-dissolving planet like their pet project, Karthes organize regular expeditions into the area.
As for the interest shown from the opposite side of the isle, individual circles of Cortex structure treat Osemo with varied attitude. Bellum Order, bent on the concept of unmitigated conquest, treat the unruly celestial body as an ultimate challenge and push the architects of the Forge Strata to spearhead the development of alloys to test against it. On the other note, the more pious members of the Garmethdes Covenant want nothing to do with Osemo, treating it as a de-facto hell, an antithesis to everything held dear by the All-Father. Forsaken place, where augments arrive to be lost instead of inherited, where the mighty digital presence is thwarted and jammed by the static of the lightning storms, trapped and doomed to forever bounce off the inpenetrable atmosphere.
To those, whose understanding isn't biased by their personal beliefs and passions, Osemo remains simply a celestial body of high strategic significance.
